Significantly less than 50 vehicles have been built only, if you do not count the vehicles changed. But the advertising effect for the company is all the greater. Even today, many (professional) people come to mind Mercedes in the letter combination 'SSK'. There are behind are the words 'Super', 'Sport' and '(Kurz=)short'. The latter means 30 centimeters shorter wheelbase and about 150 kilograms less weight.

Above is shown a vehicle from 1927, the glory days of the compressor engines. There you can hear first a large-volume engine starting with a lot of torque and when the accelerator pedal is depressed from a certain speed, switches on the screeching compressor. If today is talked from the Mercedes racing history, recur again and again the Silver Arrows from the period after the Second World War and before the famous compressor racing cars.
