Not so flat as one might suspect in the pictures, this show car. A Porsche 911 has 3.5 cm less height. Presumably, the senses are deceived by the relation to the length of 5.7 m. And then this incredibly long hood provided by a greenhouse with small windows.
You sit high in this coupé, because the entire floor is needed for batteries. They however, have less height than conventional LiIo batteries. More than 500 km range (NEDC) are promised, recharging 100 km with direct current should be possible in 5 minutes.
Four electric motors give a 4WD effect with impressive performance despite the certainly not so low curb weight. But whenever manufacturers already offer tailored luggage sets, you may be sure there is left not much space for luggage.
So despite the enormous length it is just a 2+2 seater. There is a truly visionary interior with transparent center tunnel, because a headup display extends from one side to the other, making the windshield almost opaque. Driver and passenger may let off steam with the high-speed display while the silent longing for good old analog instruments is virtually satisfied.
Leather, although of very high quality, no longer looks like leather and wood will be added to the material mix. Wood is on the ground now, however, it is elm the lightest open-pore wood. Together with the round tail comes up even yacht feeling. 08/16
