Look at the luggage compartment with the electrically foldable seatbacks, then you will be informed a bit on the difference between the Galxay and the S-Max. Both build on the Mondeo platform, what can be seen for example at the same wheelbase.

The Galaxy is just about 10 centimetres higher and does not have the large roof arch, what regarded together the S-Max lets appear a little more sporty. Also, the Galaxy is 5 centimetres longer and 30 to 50 kg heavier. All together result in up to 300 litres more cargo space. With the same engines the driving performances are worth a nuance.

Very courageous and consistently from Ford to invest in a overall rather declining segment to such an extent, because after all, there are still the smaller Max types. Pretty crazy from the buyers to turn away from this segment, and to turn towards the SUVs. Because either you really need a lot of space (see first video) or you cope with a 'normal' car.


And because the Mondeo platform has everything at hand already, one can offer the two vans even with four-wheel, about 10 percent more expensive than VW, but that is still favourable. What remains as a final impression, it's a car comfortable on almost all seats with more storage space than is good and with equipment details at least up to the upper middle class. However, the saying 'Ford, a lot of space for the money' is no longer unrestricted valid. 11/15
