Even Ettore Bugatti started small once. He designed the car above. But he did not produce it, Peugeot did. They nicknamed the car: 'Bebe' (baby). The four cylinder engine was coupled with a new two-speed gearbox. The chassis remained rather simple with its leaf-spring rigid axle, but kept the car low on costs, making it a sales success. The Bebe became a model for the Austin 7, which was in turn a model for numerous others.
