It will be introduced in 2005 and early 2006 promptly voted most beautiful car in the world. Perhaps the fact hereby is rewarded, that it is not just an open Gallardo SE. In addition, not a few motoring journalists keep it in 2007 for the car with the best sound. There should be people who prefer the car in tunnel routes. It also has an electronically controlled flap in the exhaust system that will bring normally more tranquility and only more sound when power is demanded. But the Gallardo Spyder can not deny its genes even shortly after the start (by the way with key!).

Delivery will start indeed in spring, but you had already ordered a year ago, to be among the 800 lucky ones in 2006. Also you had to choose between the many extras, without being able to look at these. However, there is one in series, the folding roof (4 hydraulic cylinders), which after lowering of the rear window is waiting for opening of the plastic hood (2 hydraulic cylinders) and only then be folded under this. The rear window can then be used as a wind deflector.

15 kW (20 hp) it has more than the closed version. Due to shorter transmission ratio it does not hurry through the 100 km/h tag like the closedvariant in the first but in the second speed. Nevertheless, it should thereby be slightly faster than the F 430 Spider from Ferrari. A little nostalgia for the twelve-cylinder engine is on lower speed of rotation.
