 Lamborghini V 10
Of the performance it can already compete with the almost twice as expensive twelve-cylinder, maybe not quite in tractive power. Its design and development however, is entirely different. It comes from the
Audi shelf with V engines, all with a cylinder angle of 90°. From one side different chains make sure the compounds of the many waves to each other. Then there is also place for the adjustment of the
camshafts. For all V-engines, the same concept. The number of cylinders is extended to the clutch side. So a well at first sight for the V8 engine better cylinder angle of 90°. 18° too much be compensated by
accordingly designed rod bearings on the crankshaft.
Advantageous for the larger bank angle is at least the lower construction height. The place in the V creates space for variable intake manifolds, which is however used the V10 not particularly space-efficient. Check out the
giant installation above the cylinder heads. Above still the transparent hood and the event is perfect. Who is then missing the two cylinders
of the Murcielago?
According to reports the cylinder block is, as more frequently did the engine manufacturers, from a supplier (Cosworth, UK) and is processed in the factory Györ, Hungary, but not finally assembled as many
other Audi engine parts. For this one provides either before or after in Sant 'Agata Bolognese, the once from Lamborghini built factory. He is doing its part to turn a once unconventional super sports car in a car
to control easy in any situation.
