In the picture above the L version is shown. It costs DM 300 more and offers reclining seat fittings and better materials for the dashboard andseat covers. The foot space is then carpeted instead of rubber mats. You can see above the outer protection of the flanks which will be combined with wider bumpers. The heated rear window, strangely enough only in the L-facilities available, however at 95 DM extra. But here the sun roof is much cheaper. Instead of DM 350 it costs only DM 200. It remains important to mention that the alternator is also only in the L version, while automated rolling belts, radial tyres and dual circuit brake are obligatory for both versions. Despite all the extra charge the Fiat 126 is with 5.4 liters/100 km a cheap car, even if driving safety, comfort and driving performance are - already at that time in Germany - on the edge of what is acceptable. 09/10
