Already the 2002 was speedy with its 2 liter engine and a body weighing less than 1,000 kg. The TI added another 20 HP by supplementing two Solex 40-dual carburetors, and accordingly shaped induction pipes. In this case, 'I' was not the abbreviation for 'Injection'. For this, there was the 'Tii' with Kugelfischer injection and yet another 10 HP. The tyres were adjusted to withstand the higher final speed, as were the brakes and chassis.
