200.000 iX20 have been produced and sold since 2010. It is the smallest Multi Purpose Vehicle of the Group. It is unchanged in the dimensions.Also the petrol engines are absolutely the same. There was presumably no need for action because of any emission laws.

Only the outdated 4-speed automatic transmission is replaced by one with six-speed. However, it is still not a dual-clutch transmission and it is also only to combine with the more powerful of the two petrol engines. It is not intended for the now four diesel engines.

However, here probably results need for action by the standard Euro 6, the one has additionally used for a doubling of the number of engines. The available performances have been extended by each one model up and down. The torque is increased now in the lower two models by 20 Nm.

The change in the exterior design justifies the term 'facelift'. While front and rear actually were changed only the openings such as lights and radiator grille, one has taken action then at least on the sides with a more accentuated beading top into the sheet metall.

Rear was done the change to LED technology and in the headlights front the partitioning is changed or even more pronounced. Interesting is the new, even more hexagonal grille, which is available either with a kind of wire mesh or with chrome rods. Clear recommendation for the latter solution.

Due to the pictures, one can see no change inside. Except that now in this class also, the steering wheel is heatable. The sunroof was available already earlier. Of course progress makes communication with iPods, Bluetooth and being able to store 1GB of music. 03/15
