This is an example of an easy to read list of optional extras. There are two versions, one 3,000 euros more expensive than the other with automatic instead of manual air conditioning, other headlights, trifles and navigation with seven-inch, sound, reversing camera and connectivity. The latter package is to get for 1,500 euros extra charge even in the more favourable model. Compared to VW the seven-speed DSG is 275 euros cheaper. For further 1,200 euros, there is a panoramic roof and that's it.



All colours except two are priced with 550 - 650 euros.

Nonetheless, the Veloster is not very inexpensive all in all. Especially as the more favourable variant with significantly less power is missing. The facelift was made cautiously. After all, the dual-clutch transmission has seven gears now and replaces the slightly outdated converter automatic at least in Europe. Technically, there is nothing to find faulty at the car with its turbo direct injection and the arrangement of the doors is a unique selling point with the exception of the sister model Proceed of Kia.

So on the driver's side, we have a coupe with a longer door and fixed rear window and on the passenger side two doors, whose rear window can be shut down for a great part. So that is not quite so obvious, the handle of this door is hidden. Seen from the knee room, you can sit comfortable rear, naturally bad from the head clearance. The car is striking, though or precisely because of its peculiarities. There are three settings for the steering assistance but no for the hard suspension.

Also the top speed is not even a glorious chapter. You know, you do not check it in order suddenly to begin with speeding, but it says something about the aerodynamics. In any case, the A-Class from Mercedes,with the size of the body quite comparable, at 22 kW less performance 10 km/h faster according to factory specifications. 08/15
