Honda CBS 1000

It is known that a six-cylinder in-line has perfectly balanced masses, even better as the six-cylinder V-engine. For this reason it is particularly suitable for installation in a motorcycle. Honda deserves credit to cut the installation length so it fits transversely in a motorcycle frame. From 1979 on it was on the market with a smooth running and a wonderful continuous power output up to nominal power of 77 kW (105 hp). It was air-cooled and so beautiful to see especially with unclad machines. Three bends led in an end pipe on each side of the rear wheel. Woe to the one who had to synchronize the six carburetors.
