The design of the new Aygo looks actually a bit austere. An 'X' with brand mark in the middle.It is most elegant in the combination of matt silver on a black base colour. But it gets really flashy by highlighting the connection between the fog lights in a third colour (probably mostly red). Also, the LED daytime running lights is subordinate to the design construction.

The 'X' will continues upwards into the lower part of the A-pillar. Actually there is no end in sight because one could add the complete window area, highlighted in black. And viewed from the rear the same motif appears again. It's remarkable how at such a difficult object like this small car an idea was through-composed from front to back.

But the little aggressor has even more. More stripes rear and on the sides are not enough for it. The roof is also dyed accordingly. Something grim the little ones who want to attract attention. The manufacturer is to compliment for something that is noticed on the second glance, the relatively narrow tyres.

This is something we know so far only from electric cars such as the BMW i3. The wheels of the new Aygo are not quite so spectacular narrow. Granted, the braking distance suffers a little, but that seems to be almost inevitable for reasons of further progressive economy. Particularly pleasing: even the sports version is running on such tyres, wherein the inner wheel arches pretty small and the usable interior space likely really large.

Unfortunately, the video below shows everything, even how rear seat backrests be folded, but unfortunately you can not see that the small instrument assembly can be adjusted vertically together with the steering wheel. That's another good idea on this car and perhaps a reasonable alternative to the Peugeot system at which one looks above the steering wheel on the instruments.

Seats: lateral support none

The seats new developed by Peugeot respectively Citroën can not inspire quite. A unique design mixing: The front seats have integrated headrests, cut off the small rear apartment clearly from the front. But rear there are almost cute to be named head restraints, where the head even once can slide away.

Engine now optional with start-stop system

Of course we are spoiled by dual-clutch gearbox and also the pitching during the interruptions while changing gears is not nice, but you should consider the price and weight range. If you want driveaway sporty, you ought to change gears yourself.

From the Aygo, by the way each letter with a hexagonal border, Toyota has sold more than added together Peugeot from 107 and Citroen from C1.
