Since the manufacturer does not yet makes available the data, we simply copied the of the Lexus sister model NX here. Too striking the accordance with the data that are already known. So the engine is sufficiently described and as a clear indication is still considered the identical wheelbase, while the length and particularly the height vary by different exterior design.

Not excluded slight modifications ...

Basically, Toyota with the built-in high-voltage battery here, turns its back something the hybrid technology and the plug-in technology completely. Who had expected that one of the oldest developers in this area would now turn to the lithium-ion batteries and would take still more electric power on board, must be convinced of the contrary in the meantime. Maybe that is why the kWh of the high-voltage battery are not to find in the technical data intended for potential buyers.

Toyota presumably pins its hopes more on hydrogen technology ...

It's a backward step to the Prius II with its small pure electric range from 1 to maybe 3 kilometres. At least, the combustion engine remains off until short to 50 km/h, 20 km/h more than with the Prius II. Otherwise, one will save up here the way of the torque to the rear axle with the additional electrical technology. In addition, it can help to cover the denuded by Atkinson thrift weaknesses of the combustor and to make itself useful when maneuvering, in traffic jams and by its increased weight in the trailer load.

Hybrid drive for thrifty persons ...

The presentation of the hybrid model is used by the manufacturer for a facelift, in this case two and a half years after model change. It concerns the front design with LED technology in the headlights, leaving rear even clearer signs with a new abutting surface, more designed rear lights and more help when opening the tailgate. Of the new assistants, the manufacturer is especially worth mentioning the for all models intended collision avoidance at low speeds.

Actually, the first hybrid drive in this segment?

The last video below shows the really helpful 360° overview, called by Toyota 'bird's-eye view'. You can also see a little more of the sensor system there. And finally: At least one of these no longer quite new matt colours makes the car even more attractive. 04/15
