You would have to be very active to do this car justice. How much you earn is not the question. The prices are absolutely competitive. You should be a top-fit sportsman/woman, or at least plan to be one. Surfing, cycling, diving, isn't that a bit too much?

Perhaps then rather a pleasant picnic with the family or taking a break under a wonderful, old tree. Fortunately, the pictures from Opel also offer this alternative, otherwise one would have to give the buying of this car a great deal of thought.

Jokes aside, the Combo has become a Fiat Doblo, supplied by Opel with the smallest- and the strongest Diesel engine. Otherwise both are produced on a production line in Bursa, about 100 km south of Istanbul. So, not only has the enormous bumper up front been exchanged, the cooperation goes somewhat further. Fiat is also using the Opel-engines.

This is of course, a bit of a problem for the workshops of both companies, now they have to deal with more than just their own engines. In addition, there is also the natural gas engine, which e.g., can be built in later by Opel. Do the people at Opel do the same for the Fiat? All in all, one would have to add the Combos to the 1,4 million Doblos, which makes the success of the car even more distinct.

In the wide range of the GM-concern, Opel already has a great variation of models. In addition there is also the cooperation with Renault and the Vivaro. Apparently however, the capacities were too tight, or the insolvency was in the way of a further variation on the basis of the Corsa. Thus, the Combo, in the standard version, has grown a little in all directions, indeed, not as much as the they would suggest.

A further disadvantage of a cooperation like this, is the resulting waiting period which, e.g., at the moment, is the case, because Fiat has put its face-lifted model on the market and Opel is still waiting, or has to wait. The price-comparison between Opel and Fiat could be tempting, indeed, don't imagine that it will be all that simple. Even the determining of the tare-weight or the pay-load will need a longer examination of the data.

We have listed the data comprehensively here. Opel makes it even more difficult, because other data has also been mixed in. Perhaps you'll notice however, that a higher roof does not simply make the vehicle 40 kg heavier. It's quite possible, that with a higher roof, it even weighs less (see column 1 above). 02/15
