We have already added the two automatic versions, because to the start of production in the Hungarian plant Esztergom from spring 2015, it is not far until these can be ordered also.

And what is most striking in the new Vitara? Of course, the analog clock in the centre of the dashboard (picture 4), accompanied by two air vents and surrounded by the selectable colours turquoise, orange, white or piano black.

The keyword 'individualization' shall recognizably taken seriously at Suzuki. You see this on the pictures above, when the uniform paintwork changes for the roof, radiator grille and fender extensions (pictures 12 and 15). Also inside, the dashboard can be provided with a different colour (pictures 5 and 13) relatively extensive.

Historically, a since 1988 occasionally very successful short version of the classic all-wheel design with ladder frame and ability to convertible top has changed to a rather self-supporting body. After increase the engines are returned to 1.6 liters displacement under the pressure of the CO2 values. The petrol engine of course with modern valve train and 50 percent more performance.

Next to the additional package 'Rugged', typical for all-wheel among others with underride protection, there is also one called 'Urban', which has perhaps to do little with a more of chromium plating particularly outside. Perhaps even more appealing is the panoramic glass sliding roof with two openable glass sliding elements (pictures 15 and 16).

In the latest, fourth generation Suzuki is going the way of many lightweight all-wheel drive vehicles (see also Jeep), namely to arrange the engine transversely up front and thus to be able to offer only front-wheel drive optionally, what may push down significantly the kerb weight and the entry prices. From classic all-wheel design is not much left, not necessarily to be regretted.

What remains of a prototype in series production, you can see from these pictures. They show the preparation for today's Vitara at the IAA Frankfurt 2013. 09/14
