There is a Maserati and a Porsche, both with four doors, price and number of cylinders are much lower, whereby the performance and the proportions do not differ so much. Also in this class, there are now modular systems. In essence is the Rapide aprolonged DB 9. This includes the engine and chassis design.

Both give away a plenty of room in front of the engine by the transaxle construction, you'll miss it then on the back seat. Thus there are only two individual seats with a high console in between. However, this chassis design creates the ideal distribution of weight of 50 to 50. In summary the Rapide can be called a special car with a special engine for a special price.

Now of course, it will be interesting how such a engine deals with the more heavy body. If we are to believe the testers, the comparatively large sedan coupe can be scared just at higher speeds and approaches the maximum speed with a sublime caution. Light weight's just still a better pick than high engine performance, even if it comes from a lot of displacement.

An Aston Martin still holds enough other attractions available: Leather up to heaven, optional entertainment system for the rear seat passengers and special exhaust sound from medium speeds. And if no all-wheel-drive, which would break probably certain weight limits, yet a differential lock and this not only on the braking system.

The disadvantages of this car can do all those happy, it will never be able to afford. A complicated six-yard-car can not really very easy parked and pull out, in spite of its size in the back for adults not comfortable and needs 12 to 22 liters per 100 kilometer, after the CO2 value you may not even ask. How well that not everyone can afford it and does.

So negative this report can not end. So let us look to the undercarriage, it reaps only laurels despite the car weight. These relate not so much of the adujustable inside damping, but more to the normal ingredients of a good driving behavior, such as the steering. There seems to be the reward for the uneconomic use of space and the low payload. The Rapide seems so for the amateur race track more suitable than for the dignified family trip. 12/10
