In recent years, a liquefied petroleum gas system could certainly bring a smile, prices were still temporarily at 0.70 and for a short time even at 0.60 €. Even at the moment they have settled down again from a peak at 0,80 Euro. Cheaper it will be no more, but you can even have the hope that the difference in price for gasoline will slightly larger, guaranteed at least until end of 2018.

And no government will have the heart, the tax on LPG immediately demand the full amount of. If one do not trusts even the self installation of such equipment, and would therefore have very best quality of workmanship and little running around, might be a good idea to install at the manufacturer.

Little insight into the installation at Opel

So think also the Opel managers and offer in addition to their CNG variants the Corsa Ecoflex also. 1.2 liters of displacement with 63 kW (85 hp) for petrol and 61 kW (83 hp) for LPG operation. It generates only 110 Nm torque with LPG and 115 Nm with gasoline, but unfortunately only at 4000 rpm. There the diesel can contrast magnificent with 190 Nm at 1750-2250 rpm. It may be surprising, because this really only develops 55 kW (75 HP) at 4000 rpm. One must look not only just after the power, torque is more important in the reality of the normal traffic.

Now you have two options with the car. Either you restrict yourselve to ride with the flow of the cars and keep away from risky maneuvers, then you will probably still reach the Euro/100 km still below the Diesel or you want know now and then as far as possible, then you will be happier with a diesel, even if you do not travel 20,000 km or more a year.

Incidentally, the LPG Corsa is worth anyway not for frequent and non-slow drivers because with a 42-liter tank it should every 450 km to the petrol pump while the diesel it brings easily to the double distance. Otherwise, for the Corsa, as you can see here, assumed to be a good, but nevertheless converted car, what for integration into the on-board electronics brings with a certain amount of disillusionment. 07/12
