Formulary Braking Distance

On a homogeneous movement a homogeneously
retarded movement follows.

German version

The stopping distance adds the homogeneous movement during the reaction (reaction distance) and the retarded movement during braking (braking distance). Please consider the conversion from km/h to m/s!

s: Stopping distance in m (Meter)
sR: Reaction distance in m (Meter)
sB: Braking distance in m (Meter)
v: Velocity in m/s
tR: Reaction time in s (seconds)
tB: Braking time in s (seconds)
a: Braking deceleration in m/s²
