Take a look at the table of the engines and you'll notice it's only a model with six-cylinder inline engine here. And even that is still charged. A naturally aspirated engine of this type is no longer available then. The four
cylinders are thus become so strong that the six-cylinder without supercharging can not fail against them.
BMW is about to lose one of the features due to the company has become famous. Three times it has been completely redesigned, the six-cylinder. The noise may be heard throughout the charge, but the acceleration
behavior when accelerating, especially from the lower rotational speed range without any delay, is initially lost with the changeover to turbocharger.
That would hurt maybe, BMW would not have gained meanwhile a number of other features. E.g. the front design, which permit identification with the brand, according to the opinion of the responsible designers, but
still not quite majestic comes along like the 5 or 7 series.
For this, the CO2 emissions are low for cars of this caliber. Who would have predicted a few years ago, the eight-speed automatictogether with the four-cylinder as the main combination in the 3 series
class? Or are there e.g. in the United States under BMW enthusiastsmore people that switch by hand, as previously assumed in the prejudices?
If you look back at the table and omit the six-cylinder engine, you will discover the tremendous degree of rationalization of the other five engines. All two-liter, even bore and stroke are identical up to a tenth of a
millimeter, past the slogans of certain peculiarities of the diesel compared to gasoline engines. 02/12
