The turbochargers with adjustable guide vanes are the third small revolution which have provided clearly more torque in the low speed range for the diesel engine, after the direct injection and the turbocharger.

Electrically controlled and adjusted with the help of low pressure, the reactor blades are adjusted such that already low exhaust gas pressure works (e.g., with low rev) fully on the blades of the turbine wheel. This control circuit also controls the maximum engine load. If it is reached, the gaps between the reactor blades are enlarged.
