Pressure Reducing Valve
Function
The pressure reducing valve receives the high pressure after the injection process to accelerate the renewed pressure building and to lower the high pressure at the same time so far that the injector does not post drip.
How it works
It is arranged at the beginning of the injection pipe in the fuel injection pump and operates with its under 45 °
grinded, spring-loaded valve disc like a check valve. While closing a small collar (cylinder) below the valve disc causes a defined space enlargement for the fuel under high pressure. This pressure decrease is tuned exactly in accordance with the injection pipe and nozzle.
