Front Suspension

The principle of the McPherson-strut has been improved here. The lower wishbone remains. However, the spring-strut does not even engage with the wishbone through a ball-head, and also does not turn during steering. The springing and the shock absorbers are completely decoupled from the pivot-geometry. This makes a sensitive steering possible.
The lower point of the swivel-axle is located deep in the rim-bowl and the upper point is found above the wheel. For this, aluminium guides and wheel-bearing housings were used. Thereby, the swivel-axle for the wheel lies almost in its center. Because of this, disturbing forces have very little chance to infiltrate the steering. In addition, the upper ball-head is shifted to the front.
The rest, with the guidance of the stabiliser and the internally cooled fixed caliper brake, is fairly normal. Should anyone be interested in details, the link to the placement of centifugal weights will give more information...
