2022 XEV YOYO

Its design comes from Italy (Turin), where eye-catchers still come from. The company only seems to care about the design. The car is manufactured in China in cooperation with Polymaker, in which the Wanma Group is involved. Among other things, electrically powered logistics vehicles are manufactured there.

The competence of the company founded in 2013 in 3D manufacturing is impressively confirmed by the video above. The XEV YOYO should be able to be manufactured with the help of 3D printing. This suggests that the entire outer skin is colored through, which would enable a city car with a higher risk of damage to the body to be replaced without expensive painting.

The relatively small battery and long charging time are compensated for by a system we proposed back in 2012 , namely battery swapping. The three parts, each weighing 25 kg, can already be exchanged at an eni petrol station (see video above).

Polymaker is proud of its material properties, but an NCAP test will have to prove still how well the body protects the occupants. Assuming a good achievement here, one can only congratulate on this car. Do not take the above range too seriously either, because the test cycle was even friendlier than NEDC.

While the Smart is greatly enlarged and the eGo does not get any further, only the more expensive Twizzy to sit behind each other remains and the Ami or eRocks to drive slowly. Although the two vehicles are impossible to match, the Dacia Spring is likely to remain a serious competitor because of its price. One can be curious on the subsidization of YOYO in Germany.
