2026 Volvo EX 60

Yet another electric SUV in the compact class. In our next review of a Volvo, we probably won't be able to ignore their internal combustion engines after all, a step backward from what was once a bold entry into the electric car market. That also refers to the XC 60, which is a completely different car.

The EX 60 is said to offer plenty of space, even though it is 24 cm shorter than the EX 90 and 37 cm longer than the EX 40. While Volvo used to stick with a particular design for a long time, this car does feature a number of modern touches.

The side profile is striking, and its distinctive feature is picked up by the rear. It's almost like a return to the trapezoid line, it's been a long time. But it's well done, especially with the rising body line toward the D-pillar.

On the exterior, there is this narrow, continuous edge running from the center of the front end to the rear, enhanced with modern 'wing grips' for opening the doors, yet still compliant with the latest regulations set by Chinese authorities thanks to mechanical push buttons.

The only physical controls are on the steering wheel, though they include a speed warning feature that can be turned off directly. At least there's no piano-black finish, and potential buyers will have to feel the quality of the faux leather for themselves. The glove compartment has been made slightly smaller and moved to the center.SS

What's new is that the digital speedometer unit has been moved so far forward that a head-up display is no longer needed. There are also speakers in the headrests, and the multi-adaptive seat belt retracts depending on the person's weight.
