2021 Porsche Macan

It has been around since 2014. After four years it received a facelift. So Porsche could have taken a little more time. But that's where the electric revolution pressurizes the internal combustion engine. One wouldn't be Porsche, with a return on sales of over 15 per cent all the time except last year, if one didn't find a solution.

The all-electric Macan has probably been in development for a long time. So one doesn't put too much money into the earlier facelift, which should actually take place for a new generation a year later. For example, there is no hybrid version that would presumably have too little benefit in relation to the effort.

One thing is certain, the Macan with a combustion engine is on its last legs, but it will continue to be built quite a while for cast-iron Porsche enthusiasts, also in parallel with the upcoming electric Macan. The dimensions have always been the same. In terms of engines, only the entry-level performance of the four-cylinder has changed.

The Macan S has to hold back in the effectiveness of its engine in favor of the GTS, so that there is scope between torque and especially power. This leads to the peculiar situation that of all things the top model has even lower CO2 emissions and thus consumption than even the smallest model.

And take a look at how carefully the tire sizes were chosen so that the respectively larger model always receives a little more. One can only say 'sophisticated hierarchy'. And how you can achieve a significantly different appearance from the front with relatively inexpensive changes, for example, is remarkable.
