If you understand the pricing policy of Porsche, then you are smarter than me. Why is (already always) calculated the convertible as the cheaper of the two Porsche mid-engines, just because it is more earlier on the market? Nearly 4000 €, the Cayman is more expensive for the 7 kW and 10 Nm more and no open roof.

Even more inexplicable is the huge difference between the two and the 911 models. 28.000 € more in each of the best equipment for nearly 10 more centimeter in length, two small rear seats, an engine drilled and no mid-mounted engine. This was earlier rather the opposite. In the Boxster basic equipment it is even € 38,000 ...

In this way, the Boxster is still a bargain. And if you afford the aluminum hardtop for less than half of the surcharge to the Cayman, you have a Boxster in the summer and in winter a Cayman.

Just a pity that one for the cleverer choice of the direct injection has to take in each case the S-model. Interesting that here the compression is directly above a full point. And then the transmissions. The dual-clutch gearbox is not only faster and more comfortable, there is still a real seventh gear, the normal gear does not have.

Yes, I admit it. 46.000 € I started, now I'm already far above 60.000. Thank God, the other extras do not tempt me so much, except for small items. Looking through someone by the colours? Every imaginable for more than 4.000 € with half a year delivery time?

By the way, you get for that money almost a Cayenne, albeit with the smallest petrol engine. But no Panamera, which is almost twice as expensive. Is it because the Cayenne series is larger? But then the 911 should almost be cheaper than the Cayman. Like I said, I do not understand the pricing policy of Porsche ... 01/10
