Compared with the 356 A, the headlights and bumper of the 356 B moved upwards. Besides other changes, the steering wheel was trimmed with black plastic and shining spokes. There were two models with
different achievements, the faster Super 90 featuring an equaliser spring at the rear axle, enabling a lower body and steadier ground contact. However, the weight increased. Later on, Karmann manufactured a matching
convertible.
