The Mercedes Benz User EXperience is the multimedia system of the upcoming A-Class. It consists of the well-known, high-resolution widescreen as a display behind the wheel and for the middle of the dashboard. However, the A-Class will be the first Mercedes in which this screen is sensitive to touch.

Incidentally, as can be seen in the pictures at the top, it is not completely integrated into the dashboard. The possibility of touching runs through the entire MBUX system. It includes a touchpad on the center console and touch-control buttons on the steering wheel. In the video below you can also see how can be zoomed through multi-finger gestures. The touchpad also detects handwriting.

It is very important to minimize the distraction of the actual driving. This is additionally served by the voice input, through which the system is also launched by a not so very original speech 'Hey Mercedes'. Supposedly, it understands natural language, has artificial intelligence, and is said to be able to learn even from people whose German is not their mother tongue.

Impressive is the graphic representation ability. The 3D graphics are particularly effective in navigation. Due to the gradual density of information, the basic functions such as telephone, navigation and radio are easy to find even for very infrequent users of the vehicle.

After this 'Homescreen' level, the next one is the 'Basescreen'. In the image below, you can see that this is about the use of additional media, comfort features and 'Mercedes me' connectivity, which is being further developed and in the future will receive updates 'over the air'.
