2018 Honda PCX




Actually, the year 2018 of the last review reacts on the last critics very well and comprehensive. The motorbike now has ABS, the engine has become a little more powerful and environmentally friendly and, above all, there is an Increased spring travel, to avoid disrupting of the relatively comfortable suspension. The luggage compartment has also grown and hopefully takes on slightly larger helmets. The speedometer (up to 160 km/h) is a bit pretentious and now replaced by a digital version.

Otherwise, the PCX is a fascinating two-wheeler. The slightly long-stroke engine has needle-bearing roller rocker arms. Cleaned are its exhaust gases by three-way cat. A brushless starter generator on the crankshaft allows a start-stop system without any special noise. The restart of the engine is easily realized by a small twist on the throttle.

Start-stop, as of the four-wheelers, is monitored by the on-board control and prevented if the battery capacity is insufficient. Neither clutch operation nor gear shift are necessary because the engine torque is automatically transmited by centrifugal operation variable and with maximum effect to the rear wheel.

The design is still successful, which is why the pane remained short and offers little wind protection. The lighting system includes LED technology and the manufacturer Honda is beyond doubt in the product maturity sublime.
