From a technical point of view, it all looks a bit warmed up. It is probably identical to the Ford Escape, which has been on the market since 2022, but is to be produced in Valencia for Europe. That wouldn't be so bad if the
large engine didn't obviously have its roots there.
What can be said against this engine? This is yesterday's technology. Lots of displacement, no turbocharging, which would make the whole thing more efficient. Reference is made to the Atkinson cycle, but you cannot, for
example, at 13 : 1 compression ratio not regulate via the boost pressure.
And then it's not even a direct injection engine. As a plug-in hybrid, the engine is unlikely to have the greatest efficiency. It also doesn't follow the trend towards more battery capacity, and is more likely to remain stuck in the
middle. The PHEV has not been significantly developed further. Only the diesel version is no longer available.
The options for potential buyers are completely different. It would be advisable to actually have the chosen equipment shown to you, such as the roof with or without glass, in a different color, a little higher or lower and the
specifics of the newly designed front.
