The new Ford Focus ST is available as a four-door sedan and station wagon both with petrol and a little later with Diesel engine, initially both only with six-speed manual transmission, again later the petrol engine also with seven-speed automatic. Actually, against the trend, the gasoline engine has grown from 2.0 to 2.3 litres, almost exclusively by increasing the stroke.

The displacement of the Diesel engine has remained, but has slightly more stroke, less bore and in the only power slightly increased, the gasoline engine on the other hand 22 kW (30 hp) more. Although the ST equipment already includes some extras, there are still features such as LED matrix light, sequentially illuminated turn signals, active parking assistance in front and rear, head-up display, panoramic sliding roof and other assistants can be purchased on request. This makes it possible to control speed with recognition of traffic signs and avoid collisions. Almost Ford traditionally has the heated windscreen in its range.

Let's start the changes on the outside with the diffuser at the rear, which now connects one exhaust pipe each on the left and right, plus a larger rear spoiler at the top.
