2024 BYD Yangwang U8
One thing has now become very clear: Chinese cars only meet European tastes if the manufacturers either have them designed here or act very cautiously. If the vehicle has a decidedly Chinese taste, then it is somehow too
intrusive for our opinion.
This applies, for example, to the Yangwang U8 shown above, and also from a technical point of view. You should actually call it a plug-in hybrid, because the alleged range is only guaranteed by the two-liter gasoline engine.
However, 180 electric kilometers would be quite a lot for the name.
It will probably receive an adequate charging system before delivery in Europe, in this form it is a catastrophe even for an electric car with a range extender. But also the six light bars that show the electrical charge on the right
and the tank contents on the left aren't much use.
You see, a strange car. It can even swim, even if only for half an hour with the roof open. And it is also possible for it to turn on the spot, where the length becomes the turning circle diameter. It can also be lowered for loading
and still has sports car values when accelerating.
Leather interior with tasteful wood elements as far as the eye can see and enough space to beautifully integrate the three displays in the middle on the left behind the steering wheel and on the right. Three additional ones at
the back and a flat surface with the seats folded electrically. The rear door is then hinged on the side.
