 2026 BYD Atto 8
While competitors may be able to match the battery size, they won't be able to achieve that phenomenal charging performance until at least their next-next generation. It mentions '5 minutes from 10 to 70 percent' and '9
minutes from 10 to 97 percent'.
Just to remind you, the battery has a capacity of 115 kWh. That makes charging speeds like these even more significant. And as if that weren't enough, BYD also guarantees a charge time of just 12 minutes from 20
to 97 percent at -37°C.
No, the first owners won't benefit from this right away, because it requires special charging stations (pictured above) and charging infrastructure. After all, BYD promises to deliver 3,000 units in Europe by the end of
2027.
What a car! Maybe the only thing missing is rear-wheel steering, but 11.8 meters isn't a bad figure for a 7-passenger SUV. In any case, there's no shortage of luxury features, especially up top, all the seats are in leather,
four of which are heated, ventilated, and equipped with a massage function.
It comes with a 2.39-square-meter panoramic roof, matrix headlights, plenty of displays, refrigerated compartments, and, of course, power-adjustable seats. You tap the front of the car, and a relatively large frunk opens
electrically.
And here's what's really critical for the other automakers: The starting price is estimated at 75,000 to 80,000 euros. And even if the cWvalue isn't specified, with a calculated 17.6 kWh/100 km, it can't be that
bad.
