2020 BMW 6 series Gran Coupé

A car, almost as if fallen out of time, even though it has just been reissued. Probably one of the last new releases from BMW in its old glory. A classic GT, albeit a bit very long, with five doors, four of them with frameless windows, a lot of luggage space, especially with folded back seat backs.

The length and especially the wheelbase has its price in an enormous turning circle. The car is predestined for long travel, only missing some headroom for tall people in the back. And the design corresponds to this. No experiments, not even in the back. Maybe one of the last BMW kidneys, more or less the way we were used to them.

Modern is the mild hybrid technology in all variants with 8 kW (11 PS), electric drive and approx. 0.5 kWh battery capacity. Yes, the engines have become more powerful, and for starters there are petrol and Diesel engines both as four and six cylinders. Somewhat strange the small difference between 630d and 640d.

At around 63,000 euros, the game starts. The four-wheel drive costs about 2,600 euros more. Air suspension is optional, too. You can see how the front has changed in the first video below. Remarkable here is the 650- metre long high beam, which can be achieved using laser technology. Another modern feature is that one can open it with a smartphone. Matching the exterior design, of course, the perfect interior design.
