Apparently Audi is currently leading the way with the Q4 Sportback e-tron. The Q4 as e-tron is really the second model on the MEB platform. Why? Because at Audi, the previous versions of the e-tron have to be considered as one model, since only body variants on the same floor assembly with different battery equipment are available.

VW has currently ID.3 and ID.4, where the principle of Tesla is applied to Model 3 and Y, i.e. absolutely identical floor assembly with different heights and lengths of bodywork including dashboard. Škoda is currently presenting the first model and Seat is coming with the 'El Born'. So far the status September 2020. However, the Q4 Sportback e-tron presented here bears the label 'concept', so it will not be ready for production until 2021.

However, a freely configurable group model will probably no longer be available for 2020 anyway. So there are definitely reasons to look onto this Q4 right now. By the way, there is no mention of 800V charging technology for the second Audi model either. So it will probably remain a unique selling point of Porsche within the group for a long time to come.

The new one comes as an addition to the Q4 e-tron, which was already introduced in 2019. It differs clearly from the already existing one, is 31 cm shorter with 16 cm less wheelbase, altogether somewhat less wide and high. The changes to the Q4 e-tron are minimal. Both are integrated into the users of the 'normal' MEB kit, but only use its maximum battery capacity.

In return, like the RS version of the Škoda Enyaq, they may have two engines and be capable of 180 km/h. By the way, Audi has given a new name to the 'CO₂-heat pump' for this found as extra available part. For the interior a touch screen with 12,3 inch diagonal is already promised.
