 1969 Audi 100 Cabrio
The predecessor has demanded rather the typical Audi buyers. At least, so it appears when you look at the C4. A little it returns to the roots. It has become slightly narrower and especially the side windows areas no longer
buckle so strongly to the inside above. The head feels more freedom, the sun is shining somewhat less into the car.
The good news: the once sensational cW value still does not suffer. Although, lighter the body will not, but remains lighter than the competition. One has a strong feeling from fine-tuning and more solidity in
many areas.
The Audi 100 seems to be finally arrived in the upper class. Compared to its predecessor, its engine is much better now. At once the competitors partly appear louder and more flabby in the lower rpm. Obviously, the V6
scores better than one would have thought it is able of doing.
When it yet can not keep up in comfort in all respects with the W124 (Mercedes) which apply as a reference in this discipline, so it's probably slightly superior in driving safety that competitor, especially in winter when it is
not just to drive a steep mountain.
Overall, it seems that this Audi 100, the change not only its name but will also be available in numerous variants, will be also responsible that Audi will pass Mercedes in the next two decades. If the costs are also
important, it finally overtakes the W124.
