 2025 Fiat Tipo
Hard to believe it's still around. Or to put it another way: one got through. As always, it is up to you to decide whether purchasing such a vehicle makes sense, even if your budget allows you to use it as a second car within
the family.
Yes, it's a full-fledged diesel. Fiat has dropped the smaller brother and its gasoline engine from its range. The engine has a longer tradition, as does the car. Not that we necessarily want to advertise for it in the electrical
age.
But we simply cannot overlook (almost) any car that is available, especially if it comes from a renowned manufacturer. It is expected to cost just under €20,000 in the more basic configuration. However, there are said to be
even cheaper offers available.
For an additional €500, you get LED headlights and taillights, fog lights, automatic climate control, a height-adjustable driver's seat, a multifunction steering wheel, split rear seatbacks, smartphone reflection, and Android
Auto.
Cruise control is always on board, as is a rearview camera. The attractive alloy wheels must be paid for separately in all cases. So this is what the probably last series of a
dying compact class looks like, probably because it emits less CO2 than diesel.
If it weren't for climate change, it would actually be a shame about the car. It has pleasant, safe driving characteristics and probably did not achieve 5 stars in the crash test because it lacks certain
electronic safety features that are considered standard today. <
It has everything one absolutely needs and just enough space. The fact that rear visibility is poor due to the wide C-pillars is also found in more modern cars. How long will the car still be worthwhile in terms of fuel
consumption? Certainly not opposed to an electric car, once it has been paid off.
| The practical station wagon is also no longer available. |
