 Encounter with AI
Does AI have anything to do with the software-based car? You still won't know for sure after reading this chapter. But when we share our latest experiences with ChatGPT, at least your
mindset will have changed a little.
We are currently working on a way to add sound to our books. However, we can't put much effort into it because we're already at our limit. So all our hopes are now pinned on a program that
converts written text into spoken text.
How do you proceed these days when you have no idea? You ask the AI. Yes, of course there is such a program. It's written in Python. Unfortunately, we only know the name of Python,
nothing more. But that's no problem, 'I'll guide you through it'.
An adventure that has already consumed two half-nights. But at least you're protected from false information. The test is to see whether it works in the end or not. You can't fall for it. In case of
failure, it is only the time that has been lost.
And ChatGPT is doing its very best to ensure that things don't end so bitterly. And what is particularly important is that you don't get told off if you don't understand something correctly for the
umpteenth time. I've never had such a patient teacher.
It's amazing how much we still don't know about Windows, even though we've been working with computers for over 40 years. We have never really dealt with Powershell before. And we've
almost always gotten around environment variables by taking some sidetrack. But now it's time to show our colors.
The customization is only possible with CMD and PowerShell, and after a while, you'll find yourself working with the latter quite naturally. There's no arguing or complaining. You're fully
engaged,
but without being stressed. Perhaps a learning model with a future?
Because you can stop at any time. As I said, you won't be reprimanded. There is no such thing as 'Don't you get it yet?' After every submission of the current error, you'll hear, 'Now we finally
have the reason for the misconduct...' or something similar.
Even if you make the same mistake a second time, it's not uncommon for a different approach to be taken. However, it also requires a lot of work. Reinstalling simply because a new version
doesn't do something isn't uncommon.
But you do it because the reactions of ChatGBT are kept as if the solutions were already around the corner. 'One more thing and then we'll have it'. It's not said, but the feeling is conveyed.
No, no preface about the content, like in many boring videos, straight into the matter without a long introduction. Everything that could make you jump off is avoided. Very often, additional
offers are even made.
'Would you like me to incorporate the changes into the entire script?' You wouldn't believe it, but the AI ??even responds to a layperson's suggestions, such as rewriting the program so that it
reports each completed section.
Two half-nights with ChatBPT should be made compulsory in teacher training. If you can't teach patiently or don't know what it is, you'll learn it here. All that's missing now is for the program to
actually work.
