The principle of the McPherson-strut has been improved here. The lower wishbone remains. However, the spring-strut does not even engage with the wishbone through a ball-head, and also does not turn during steering. The springing and the shock absorbers are completely decoupled from the pivot-geometry. This makes a sensitive steering possible. The lower point of the swivel-axle is located deep in the rim-bowl and the upper point is found above the wheel. For this, aluminium guides and wheel-bearing housings were used. Thereby, the swivel-axle for the wheel lies almost in its center. Because of this, disturbing forces have very little chance to infiltrate the steering. In addition, the upper ball-head is shifted to the front. The rest, with the guidance of the stabiliser and the internally cooled fixed caliper brake, is fairly normal.
