In-line Two-cylinder Two-stroke Engine
Function
The two-stroke engine features with this construction method no empty strokes and the moved masses of the first order (stroke movements) compensate
each other almost
completely. Earlier this mode of driving was used even for vehicles.
How it works
A crankshaft with two by 180 ° staggered arranged headers is common for the two-stroke engine. The pistons move exactly opposite. Every half a rotation a power stroke takes place of one of the two cylinders, while the four-stroke engine normally has one more empty stroke in between. 05/08
