Assignment

The beginning of injection control should alter the injection point, and with it the start of the combustion-phase in the diesel engine depending among other things, on the RPMs and the load demand.

Function

The cam-ring has a swivel-bearing which allows it to influence the injection start. Similar to the radial piston pump an injection adjusting device, mounted transverse to the pump-shaft below the casing, which depending on the pressure, turns the cam-ring. The pressure is influenced by a control device, either purely hydraulically, or with electronic regulation through two magnetic valves or through magnetic valve and throttle drillings. The sensors correspond to those of the axial piston- or in-line injection pump. 12/10
