Idle Speed Device
Function
The fuel injection idle speed device's task is to open a bypass air duct round the throttle valve fully or partly according to the signal of the control unit and consequently steer the idle running.
How it works
The proportional time within 100 milliseconds in which the electric motor receives a current impulse for opening up is called duty-cycle. It is, e.g., 50% if the engine receives from the control unit first 50 milliseconds
12V and subsequently 0V during 50 milliseconds. In this case the bypass channel should be opened due to the dimension inertia of the armature approximately 50%.
