Steam Engine (original)
This is the model of the first steam engine built by James Watt. Here the force of a vertical cylinder (to the
left) is transferred to the flywheel (to the right) via a tiltable beam. To the right of the cylinder the control of the vapour pressure is visible. Next to it the centrifugal governor which prevents too high revs of the machine.
