Valve Seat Angle
Function
Aluminium cylinder heads - most cylinder heads nowadays consist of aluminium - require valve seats from steel alloys. If these were pressed in anew or if the valve
guide was worked on,
afterwards the valve seat must be milled. A too wide valve seat can be corrected by the correction angle, about 1.5 mm for intake valves and 2 mm for exhaust valves.
How it works
The wooden suitcase shows a variety of cone countersinks with which valve seat angles and correction angles of nearly every diameter can be treated. There are different locating pins for the single valve guide diameters in
which the single cutter heads can be clamped. 06/08
