Variable Nozzle Turbine 2

A turbocharger is displayed with its compressor wheel to the left and the turbine wheel to the right. The adjustable guide vanes are a specific feature. You see the ring which can change the position of the single reactor blades in the turbine case. This ring can be twisted infinitely variable via a leverage by an electric motor. Thereby, the boost pressure can be regulated. Because of the heat coming from the turbine section the electric motor is placed besides the compressor case. 05/08
