Loop Scavenging

Function

The loop scavenging improves the scavenging due to a changed guide and split of the fresh gas flow.

How it works

The exhaust port (on the top left) ends in between two by-pass ports on the same side of the cylinder. The fresh gas flows from both sides to the opposite wall of the cylinder and expels the old gases in the middle as completely as possible. (see picture to the right). 06/08
