Scavenging, the old gases should be substituted as completely as possible with fresh gases.

How it works

Two-stroke engines without valves feature an open exchange of gases. Nevertheless, as little old gas as possible should remain in the cylinder and - particularly - as little fresh gas as possible should vanish with the old gas. 06/08
