Volvo has in the period before the war, rather a six- than a four-cylinder tradition. In the Swedish taxi live these side-valve engines further for quite some time. At the end the car therefore comes with very large bumpers and modified front.

Technical innovation accompanies it more than others Volvo models. It experienced how much an electronic fuel injection can bring the engine on their toes, however, without its gasoline consumption reduce significantly. Finally, even changed its production efficiently. Since 1973 it is installed only in the new plant in Kalmar, but on individual cars that move as if by magic through the halls.
