There are less diesel engines. The three were replaced by one with a smaller displacement and better CO ₂ values. The petrol engines are largely unchanged. The Verso is a typical van with plenty of space in the first and second row and two auxiliary seats in the third optionally.

The luggage space varies greatly from just 100 liters under the cover at maximum seven passengers, almost covered 400 liters by max. five passengers and 1,600 liters when loaded to the roof and rear seats folded. That's respectable for the car length.

This is also achieved by a comparatively large wheel base. That has the disadvantage of a larger turning circle, making the car less manageable. As a towing vehicle the Verso is less effective, because the trailer coupling only takes 60 kg instead of usual 75.

For this, however, the load is considerable, which does not adversely affect the driving comfort. On the other hand the Verso is always safe to handle. In 2016 Toyota presents a new touch screen mainly for more road safety. The manufacturer points out that the car is sold a total of about 700,000 units since 2002 (Germany 2009). 04/16
