2018 Toyota Gazoo Racing
It is perhaps the prettiest of the four rivals in the World Rallye Championship, only since last year participating and already with the first podium places provided, Toyota took the 2nd and 3rd
place in the first rallye in Monte Carlo with the special Yaris and was quite successful in Sweden and Mexico at least on the last day of the power stages.
Actually, it is believed that this participant in the FIA World Endurance Championship deserved to finish Le Mans on first place. Last year, it was in the lead and failed three minutes before the end of the 24 hours. Even
the fans of the winning Porsche were full of compassion.
This newly designed HiLux took second and third place in the overall standings of the world's toughest rally, still called 'Dakar'. In the top ten came another three privately used HiLux. It should have been harder this
than usual, only a good half of the participants finished the race properly.
The two vehicles can each be purchased by private individuals to compete in the Toyota Gazoo Racing Trophy, with the R3 being significantly modified. Here is worth a comparison in the data block. The vehicles are
fully homologated and can be used without registration fee in several events throughout Europe.
According to Toyota, this is one of the most cost-effective ways to race in comparison to other cups. Points are also awarded in relation to the size of the participant field. In the end there are 35,000, 25,000 and 20,000
euros for the first three places, as well as the use of a C-HR for the first place. 03/18
